Garlic & Why Its Great.

Garlic is a potent spice made popular by Asia, Africa, & most of Europe.  It is used in a lot of culinary delicacies and even in some medicinal forms. There are many different types of garlic, some more potent than others. Depending on where the garlic is from and what it is made into can determine the outcome of your dish.

Types of Garlic:

Different countries produce different types of garlic.
Examples:
France
Italy - Typically the best type of garlics come from italy, depending on what region they are grown.
China - Leader in garlic sales, most commonly found.
US

I myself prefer to try to find Italian garlic, especially when its for Garlic bread or even bread sticks. Italy is known for their culinary prowess when it comes to these type of foods.

Preparing Garlic:

Preparing garlic is fairly easy most of the time as it can be diced, cut into smaller chunks or even made into garlic salt. All of these variety's can be bought at most local markets, I prefer to avoid the bigger chain companies such as Wal-mart and friends, as they will most likely have lower quality garlic that has been heavily processed and will not have that robust flavor you will soon learn to desire. Local shops can be your best friend in this department, or even local farmers markets if some carry it, unless you prefer to shop online then Amazon can be your best friend for this as well. If you are buying garlic salt, McCormick is always known for their quality in

Useful tools:
The garlic press is a very useful tool when it comes to preparing garlic. It is a solid device that will guarantee you the most out of your garlic cloves every time. You can pick these up at most stores as well, or even order it online if you prefer to shop online once again, Amazon is still your best friend for shopping online due to its amazingly fast shipping and low prices compared to other online stores, and half the time the shipping is free, whats not to love.

Cinnamon Sugar & You.

Cinnamon sugar is one of those things most people know about, but don't use regularly. Cinnamon sugar can turn your most common foods into delicious delicacy's, and the best part about it is that it is so effortless easy to make that anybody can do it, even kids can do it themselves for part of their own breakfast. Especially for those kids who love to help out around the kitchen and have a part in making their own meals.

What you need:
-Cinnamon
-Sugar
-Tablespoons(or cups depending on how much you want to make)

All you have to do is:
Mix cinnamon and sugar together at a ratio you want to enjoy, if you prefer more cinnamon than sugar you will want to have around 1/4 of a cup of sugar and 3-5 tablespoons of cinnamon depending on personal preference. I personally -love- cinnamon so what is stated above is how I prepare my usual cinnamon-sugar . You should always taste test your mixture before using it to make your food to make sure its an amount you agree with and will enjoy.

Cinnamon Sugar goes great with:
-Rasin Bread
-Pancakes
-Waffles
-Some types of Coffe
-French Toast
-Oatmeal
-Regular Toast
-Apple Pie
-Mixed with butter to make cinnamon-sugar spread
-If you make home-made bread you can use it for that as well
 -Coffe Cake
-Cinnamon Rolls
-Fried Dough
-Porridge
-Some types of doughnuts (Especially Plain & Pumpkin)

These are just some of the great foods you can use cinnamon sugar to spice up your food life with.

Enjoy! And most of all, if you have kids try to get them involved in the process. Its safe and they will love being able to help make the food that they eat
